Israel's navy killed 1 fisherman, a 91 year old man and 2 others..
..all in this last week, up to now - according to reports in media and on the Internet:

Israeli officials say the fisherman's boat strayed to close to limits they allow Palestinians to fish in Gaza waters under the Israeli blockade.

However, they say warning shots were fired prior to killing the man.

Shots were fired in the air prior to shooting the fisherman.

Israel says the naval blockade is necessary to stop weapons that might be smuggled to militants within Gaza.

But the restrictions make life very difficult for Gaza's fishermen.

It means they can only operate in a narrow stretch of water going no further than 5km (3 miles) out to sea. Fisherman say the small area is virtually fished out and there is nothing really worth catching.

In Gaza it is not uncommon to hear the sound of machine-gun fire off the coast, as the Israeli navy fires upon boats it says have breached the limit.

Over the past weeks Israel has seen more rocket fire coming from Palestinian militants and just last week, Israel admitted to wrongly shooting and killing three unarmed civilians, one of them a 91 year old man.

Gaza - Friday September 29, 2010 8:19 AM (EST) -  Israeli spokeswoman confirmed naval ship shot fisherman after his boat approached Gaza waters controlled by Israel.

Israeli navy has killed at least one fisherman whose boat "approached limits" of water patroled by Israel's military.

IDF acknowledges Israel's navy did fire on a fishing boat killing at least one fisherman. He died after being fired on while his boat came near the area under watch by Israel.

An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed that naval vessels shot at a fishing boat after it came too close to waters Israel keeps under blockade to restrict Palestinian maritime traffic.

"We fired warning shots to turn them back, and when they did not respond. So, we fired at the boat," the spokeswoman said. "We are checking the claim of there being a casualty."

Palestinians say the Gaza fishing zone is too narrow to provide for the impoverished strip. Israel says their navy is preventing arms from being smuggling to Palestinians and any seaborne attacks on nearby Israeli territory.

#3 Bible says children of Israel are the Chosen Ones - not the Arabs. They are from Ishmael who is definitely NOT of the Chosen. Get it straight next time. 2010-09-24 05:48
OK - you are wrong because the Children of Israel are always going to win. There can be no mistake,, Jews are supposed to inherit the land and everything in it. Arabs need to go back to the desert and their camels.

This comment is in response to an earlier comment, "But the God of Bible gave all the earth to children of Israel...". First of all the God of Bible is the same GOD who revealve the ORIGINAL TORAH and the final message AL QURAN. And secondly GOD did not give the whole earth to children of Israel but only the "promised land" in return of their covenent which they have reportedly broken. The land and whatever is in it will be inherited by the most righteous.
#1 Peaceful Israel is being falsely accused of terror to take attention away from real terrorists the fishermen are Arabs HELLO! 2010-09-24 04:45
When are we going to learn? This is all just a big cover up.. Think about it, why is everyone making such a big deal about a fisherman today, or 8 or 9 Turks on a boat back in May? OK - Yes, it is international waters. But the God of the Bible gave all the earth (includes water) to the children of Israel. So technically, it is their right to watch over all of it
