Remember last year? UK Banned Dr. Zakir Naik - for what? Read this . . .

LONDON, UK -- Britain banned what they term a "radical Moslem preacher" from entering the UK, according to the Minister of Interior, quoted in a British paper there.
Dr. Zakir Naik, a medical doctor from a well established family of doctors in Mumbai, India, has been quoted as saying, "Every Muslim should be a terrorist" (but of course, there is more to this story)..

Zakir Naik, a well known and highly respected member of the Muslim community world wide - was scheduled for a tour of the UK to offer a series of lectures in London and northern England this month.

However, the new Home Secretary, Theresa May has decided otherwise. According to the UK newspaper, the Daily Telegraph, May said, "I have excluded Dr. Naik from the UK." and "Numerous comments made by Dr Naik are evidence to me of his unacceptable behaviour".

“Coming to the UK is a privilege not a right and I am not willing to allow those who might not be conducive to the public good to enter the UK.”

May, a Conservative politician who became home secretary in the new government last month, has the power to exclude or deport an individual if he or she believes their presence in Britain could be dangerous.

Naik had been filmed on a website making inflammatory comments, interior ministry sources told the newspaper.

According to the Telegraph, in a web posting from 2006, he said: “Beware of Muslims saying Osama bin Laden is right or wrong. I reject them ... we don't know.

“But if you ask my view, if given the truth, if he is fighting the enemies of Islam, I am for him. I don't know what he's doing. I'm not in touch with him. I don't know him personally. I read the newspaper.

“If he is terrorising the terrorists, if he is terrorising America the terrorist, the biggest terrorist, every Muslim should be a terrorist.” —AFP

I am ashamed by the manner in which the British government has treated Dr Zakir Naik, a man who has devoted his life to spreading the peaceful message of Islam.

It is vital his moderate voice is heard and raised so that it may drown out the voices of extremist Muslims who preach a distorted message of hate.

He has a large worldwide following amongst all faiths. I fear, by banning him, the British government will alienate a significant proportion of British Muslims and that the vacuum left by him with be filled by more extremist elements. We must not let this happen.

His words were clearly taken out of context. May our just British Judges judge his case fairly.

its really sad that the british government ban a star of peace.the man i consider to be a mujadid (revitalist).it s clear that they are fighting agaist islam.but islam will prevail all over the world including UK ,regardles of whether he banned or not.Banned a man like zakir is unjust and against the human rights that UK is starving other people to death in other countries.

Zakir is a genious . by highlighting the drawbacks and errors in the religion he has created awareness about "blind following" of scriptures .

Also by not succumbing to the demands of skeptics he has always kept his bank account secret . the villains will never know how much money he has . this will help him in future projects and also help the religion .
His clever video editing techinque should be followed by other sermonisers . It is surprising he has wished to convert and become a Bohri muslim

assalamu'alaiku m. all praise is due to Allah for sending HIS mercy upon us: dr. zakir naik.__i have to admit my life was very troubled and was more or less confused about islam. i was confused about the meaning of being a muslim and also had little knowlege on islam although being a muslim myself and being raised in a muslim family. since my husband got sky to watch his entertainment channels, i came accross peace tv :D__and alhamdulillah, it's been almost a year and i can honestly say this is the most amount of peace and understanding i've had since childhood.__men like Dr. Zakir Naik and every other speaker on peace tv are Allah's soldiers of today, tomorrow, no doubt. may Allah keep all of you under his shade on the day of kiyamah (ameen)

Someone should file a law suit for what this woman is saying about Dr. Naik.......Brot hers and Sisters in the UK must understand that they have to fight this now or it might be that tomorrow their government may ban other things...if anything, these sort of actions from governments is what will unite the Muslim Umma..InshaAlla h.
