1,000 New Muslim Converts?
Or Famous Reciter of Quran?
What Do You Say?

What wonderful offers - Actually, one of these is 2 offers in one and the other has with it many benefits - But the Problem is - WHICH ONE?

Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Wednesday October 24, 2012 (midnight)

Guide US TV team, including Harris Tobing & Sheikh Yusuf Estes are facing a problem. Granted, it is a problem most of us would love to have, but none the less, still a problem and it must be solved in the next 24 hours.

According to Yusuf Estes it all started like this:

I was always invited to the hajj group (hamlah) of Sheikh Salih Al-Husayen and it was conveniently not far from the jammerat (area for throwing the pebbles at the posts).

This year Sheikh Abdurahman As-Sudais has assumed this position due to illness of Sheikh Salih. Most of you know, Sheikh Sudais is one of the top reciters of the Quran in the world today and a favor of ours as well. Sheikh Sudais offered us to be his most welcomed guests to be with his hajj group in the same location and for this we are most appreciative. Our prayers are with him and his family for an easy and acceptable hajj.

But there is more to this story . . .

OK. But you see, tonight at dinner with one of the most respected and well-known families in all of the Muslim world another offer came to us to join their group for the Hajj. This lovely family is the direct decendent of our prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, by way of Fatimah (daughter of the prophet, peace be upon him) and her husband Ali bin Abi Talib (son of the uncle of prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him).

While the family may not like to be publisized, I would just like to say, their manners and character certainly do represent Islam in the very best way and are a grand example of our prophet's family, peace be upon him.

Now here is the real big decision for us:

1.) With Sheikh Sudais we have chance for live interviews and reorded programs with Sheikh Sudais to broadcast in the future on GUIDE US TV. This is very precious and valuable time and who knows? Maybe never another chance like this for us. I personally would love to have such a chance especially during this month of sacrifice.

2.) With the family of the prophet, peace be upon him, there is a huge chance to help over 1,000 new Muslims learn basics of dawah to their families. Again, we can interview them, talk about their journey to Islam, discuss difficulties they experience and in particular, help them understand the best way to live and worship as true Muslims and above all, help them to give dawah to their relatives. This could produce another few hundred new Muslims.

Now in both cases, we have the honor to be hosted by some very special people, whom we feel are most loved by Allah Subhannah wa Ta'ala. There can be no doubt about the care, security and opportunities to learn more about proper worship in the Muslim pilgrimage.

Any choice in this matter would be a right choice. What we are looking for is the best of these choices to maximize our hajj and the dawah for Islam.

Will you just take a moment to reflect and think about this? And then give us your answer (right here)?

#14 Yusuf Estes Update on Hajj We got BOTH! 2012-10-29 21:53
I am happy to report Allah gave us both of these most excellent choices._Can you imagine having the chance to be with over 1,000 new Muslims in Hajj?_And to make things even better, some of them texted their relatives about our project there on Mina - and guess what?_MORE new Shahadahs!_Phon e calls started coming in while I was giving the talk!_That\'s right, many new ones are still and we must make dua for them all._AND - there\'s more -_We did get to be with Sheikh Sudais and enjoy his recitation and his lectures to us as well._This is like a dream come true for me:_1. Hajj (again)_2. With my close friends_3. Secured hamla (group) near the stoning area (Jammerat)_4. Be with new Muslims (over 1,000)_5. Give shahadahs (4 on phone)_6. Be with one of my favorite reciters, Sheikh Sudais_7. Easy tawaf (around the kaba) and best sai (between Safa

Whatever decision you might have made, I would express my view below.
Hajj for a person who has performed once in his life time,is an additional (nafal) hajj. One could avoid that if some pressing need arises. Better it was to go to the place where 1000 new muslims would be brought to Ummah.

1000 Muslims.

Btw, what u mean decendants of Muhammad (salla Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam)? Decendants for real? Or a metaphor or some sort?
Editor: Actually, he meant descendants of Ali & Fatimah (daughter of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him).

As salamu alai kum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu. Reverend Sheikh! In deed you are in a predicament. Your decision to opt for one course of action will render other option inaccessible. What I would suggest in a situation like this for you to explore is : the salatul istikhara. Allah is the best of all guides. But personally I feel your presence with the new Muslims will be much more desirable, as the new Muslims are in need. May Allah the exalted guide us all to the right and noble path of Islam as trodden by the blessed and honoured last messenger Muhammad peace be on him

Well. Honestly i agree that istikarah should be done but also i think you ought to go with the family of the Prophet Peace Be upon him, THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME THING. and its hajj. so... im sure inshallah u will get the opportunity to hear sheikh sudais another time.
asalaam alaykum.

AS SALAAM MU AALAI KUM WA RAHMATULLAH HI WA BARKATAHU.

ALMAHDULILLAH, BOTH THE OPTION ARE TOO GREAT TO BE MISSED, HENCE, DIVIDING YOUR TIME, AFTER COMPLETING YOUR HAJD RITUALS, BETWEEN THE TWO OPTIONS, SEEMS TO ME AS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT TO ME.

SALAAT E ISTIQARAH WILL BE A GOOD HELP.

Subhanallah that's a big desission to make. I would suggest just like the others to pray salatul istikhara and inshallah Allah will guide you.. La Hawla wala quwata illa billah, the FAMILY OF THE PROPHET (Salalahu alayhi wasalam) !!!!!!!!!!..... !!!!!! And Sh. SUDAIS!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mashallah.
Inshallah, pray Istikhara, and go with Allah.

Honestly, I like the idea of 1000 new muslims, because in the long run, it will be more beneficial for the people, and with Allah, inshallah. But Allahu Alim. May Allah guide, protect, and see us all in Jannah, ameen.

I agree with Muhajjrah.
You have to make salatul Istakharah and then keep doing that until Allah makes clear to you which choice.
This the problem with us today, we do not let Allah make our choices or we complain that we should have done something else but what we did do.
So just ask Allah and tawakal Allah.
