GainPeace, a project of ICNA-MAS, launched the Bus Ad Campaign first in Chicago and now in Dallas: The purpose is to educate everyone about Islam and Muslims.
Each ad invites people call GainPeace’s toll free number 1-800-662-ISLAM to talk with Muslims - ask questions - get a free Quran and more info on Islam.
Similar projects on sub-ways ("You Deserve To Know" another project of ICNA-MAS called WhyIslam) and buses in New York and other major cities in United States have generated coverage by major media outlets and curiosity from the general public.
Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, director of GainPeace, comments: “Islam is often a misunderstood religion, leading some to hold bias view of Islam with discrimination and suspicion of Muslims. This ad campaign will provide an opportunity for the people of Chicago to take a fresh and positive look at Islam through simple messages displayed on buses.”
