El Niño & the Finches:
Signs in A Storm?
In the 1990s, scientists observed something remarkable on the Galápagos Islands—a tiny bird with a powerful message.
During an intense El Niño event (a natural weather pattern causing dramatic warming in the Pacific Ocean), the islands faced heavy rains and sudden changes in the food supply. Researchers watched as finches, known for their beak shapes, faced a survival challenge.
Normally, each species of finch had a beak shape suited to a certain kind of food—some cracked hard seeds, others picked at softer plants. But within just six weeks, scientists observed changes in the average size and shape of the beaks in response to the environment.
NOT a new species.
NOT evolution across thousands of years.
NOT explained by "modern day" science!
It's called: ADAPTATION — built-in flexibility in Allah’s creation.

🌀 What Is El Niño?
El Niño is a recurring weather event, begins in the Pacific Ocean and affects weather climates — brings floods, droughts, and fast temperature changes. It’s unpredictable and powerful.
But behind this chaos, Allah says:
"And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water."

What Do the Finches Tell Us?
The fast change in finch beaks does NOT PROVE ANY NEW SPECIES forming from a random chance. It proves Allah already built in — a designed response to it.

"Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided it."

Signs in Creation
Nature is not blind. It points to the One who created it.
"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for people of understanding."

Whether it’s a bird’s beak, a wind from the Pacific, or a sudden rain in the desert—everything is under Allah’s control, teaching us to reflect, not reject.
Some scientists refer to Critical Analysis", instead of the blind following of Charles Darwin and other atheists who say their beliefs in "accidental evolution" over other scientists discoveries described as "Intelligent Design".
- Evolution, specifically Darwinian evolution, is a scientific theory explaning how a species changes over generations . . . (but does not change from one species to another).
- This is a well-established concept in biology, supported by extensive evidence from various scientific disciplines. (They didn't take into consideration the "El Nino" event, happened in 1998 - where the same exact birds Darwin used in his "Evolution" theory . . the birds hatching out of the eggs already had changed beaks to allow them to eat from the drastically changed environment.
2. El Niño events (1998) on the Galapagos Islands -- Darwin's finches experienced changes in their beak shapes due to shifts in food availability. Specifically, when larger seeds were scarce, the new born finches had smaller beaks already. This is a good example of creation and re-creation.
3. Quran is a solid "Proof" of lasting evidence from "God" (Allah) Himself. Allah tells us in the Final Message to mankind (The Quran) how He creates and recreates everything on the earth and in the sky.
Allah says His Recitation is for all Mankind . .
