John the Baptist with Jesus in the Quran!
(We say, 'peace be upon him' after all prophets)
"Yahya" in Quran - (John the Baptiser in Bible), peace be upon him, (Yahya in Arabic: يحيىبنزكريا), mentioned in the Bible & Quran, is son of the prophet Zechariah, peace be upon him, and a cousin to Jesus,peace be upon him.
According the Bible, he baptised Jesus, peace be upon him, by taking down to the Jordan River and performed wudo (purification by water).
Yahya, peace be upon him, was witness to Allah’s Words, heralding the coming of Jesus,peace be upon him.
The Quran also mentions, several times, Zechariah’s praying for a son, the Bible mentions the mother of Yahya, is Elizabeth, (Arabic: إيشاع) and she was barren (means: no babies).
Zechariah, peace be upon him, (Arabic: زكريَا) was given a son, as a gift from Allah. He was named "Yaḥya", (John in English), a name specially chosen for this child.
In accordance with Zechariah's prayer, Allah made *Yahya (John) and *Esa (Jesus), who was born six months later, renew the message of God.

The Quran says to Yahya's father, Zachariah:
˹The angels announced,˺ "O Zachariah! Indeed, We give you the good news of the birth of a son, whose name will be Yahya (John)—a name We have not given to anyone before."
He wondered, "My Lord! How can I have a son when my wife is barren, and I have become extremely old?"
An angel replied, "So will it be! Your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, just as I created you before, when you were nothing!'"
Zachariah said, "My Lord! Grant me a sign." He responded, "Your sign is that you will not be able tospeak to people for three nights, despite being healthy."

1. The Quran says — John was ordered to hold fast to scripture and was given wisdom by God while still a child.
2. He was pure and devout, and walked well in the presence of God.
3. He was dutiful towards his parents and he was not arrogant or rebellious.
4. John's reading and understanding of the scriptures, when only a child, surpassed even that of the greatest scholars of the time.
5. The Quran tells us, Jesus sent John out with disciples, who preached the message before Jesus called his own disciples. The Quran says:
˹It was later said,˺ "O Yahya! Hold firmly to the Scriptures." And *Allah granted him wisdom while ˹he was still˺ a child,
Yahya, peace be upon him, was a classical reciter, and exalted by God for his bold recitations of all things sinful. The Quran also speaks of Yahya’s, peace be upon him, gentle piety and his humble attitude towards life, and he was granted the Purity of Life:
The story of Yahya, peace be upon him, was told to the Christian king of the Abyssinians, by Muslims seeking refuge in Abyssinia. The king realized the Muslims were on the same path as early Christians.
Yahya, peace be upon him, is one of the prophets resurrected along with Jesus, peace be upon him, and led in prayer by Muhammad, peace be upon him, on the occasion of Al Miraj, at the Dome of the Rock in Palestine.
Yahya, peace be upon him, was the one who Allah sent peace on “The day he was born and the day he died.”
