Pagans Mixed Up Jesus’ Message
🏰 Step 1: The Message of Jesus
- Jesus (Isa) preached pure monotheism, just like prophets before him.
- He taught folks to worship God alone, obey the commandments, and live righteously.
- His earliest followers were Torah-observing Jews—no eggs, no crosses, no statues, no sun-day worship.
🏛️ Step 2: Romans Begin Converting
- After Jesus was raised up (Qur’an 4:157–158), Paul (Saul) and others began preaching to non-Jews (Gentiles), especially Romans and Greeks.
- These Gentiles came from pagan backgrounds—worshipping gods like Zeus, Apollo, Mithras, and Ishtar.
- Convert to Christianity, 'Made easy' - when missionaries allowed compromises.
🔁 Step 3: Syncretism Begins
(Mixing Truth with Folklore)
- Pagan holidays like:
- Saturnalia (Roman festival) became Christmas.
- Ishtar/Beltane (fertility festivals) influenced Easter.
- Pagan symbols 'symballein': (something else)
- Rabbits 🐇 eggs 🥚 “new life, re-birth”
- Pagan worship, 'weorþscipe': "honor for the god"
- Sun-day, “Lord’s Day” (worship the son?)
Moon-day,(worship the moon?)
Zues-day, (worship Zues?)
Woden's-day, (worship god of 'wood'?)
Thor's-day, (worship Thor?)
Frigg-Day, (worship Frigg?)
Saturn-Day, (worship Saturn?) - Statues of saints - (Isis was a Mary look-like)
- Sun-day, “Lord’s Day” (worship the son?)
🪵 Step 4: Emperor Constantine (325 CE)
- Constantine saw Christianity as a tool for unifying his empire.
- He stopped killing of Christians, legalized Christianity and chaired the Council of Nicaea (325 C.E).
- Many pagan practices were left inside the teachings so converts wouldn’t resist:
- Mithras’s birthday (Dec 25) became “Jesus’s birthday.”
- The Cross, used by pagans and Romans, became a Christian symbol.
- Pagan temples were Converted into Churches.
🎨 Step 5: Art, Rituals, and Symbols Merge
- Halos, icons, incense, & chanting — borrowed directly from Egyptian, Roman, and Hindu temples—were absorbed into and mixed with church rituals.
- Red-dyed eggs, sunrise worship, fertility dances (May Pole) — all repurposed as "Christian traditions."
📜 Step 6: Lost in Translation
- Over centuries, the true teachings got blurred (or hidden).
- Jesus's real message of submission to One God was out stripped by man-made rituals and pagan storytellers.
- Even Paul admitted he became “all things to all people” to gain converts (1 Corinthians 9:22).
🕌 Step 7: Islam Comes to Clarify (610 CE)
- Allah sent Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to restore the pure message of monotheism.
- The Qur’an corrects distortions, honors Jesus and Mary, and rejects all forms of paganism.
“Say: He is Allah, the One and Only...”
(Surah Al-Ikhlas 112:1)
“They did not kill him, nor crucify him…”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:157)
🧭 Fun Fact: Truth Ain’t in Symbols
It’s not about eggs, fire, rabbits, or crosses — It is about submitting to One God Who created everything and you and I.
Pagan customs entered our churches, but the Truth of God don't need no costume change.
So, just put down whatever translation of the Bible (Bible has no reliable translation) and just talk to God, DIRECT (not Jesus).
"I do hope we meet up - in Heaven."
