Speaks Out At U.N. Against Israel

Last month - Roger Waters, song writer for Pink Floyd (years ago), spoke at the U.N. and delivered the words most Muslims could only dream about speaking at such an opportunity.UN pink_floyd02

A Non-Muslim, musician from the UK risks his own place in this world to help bring peace to Palestine.

But did his words fall upon DEAF EARS?

Let's hear what someone says, who recognizes and speaks out on the issues facing all of us today.

Watch (and cry) with me - as Roger Waters speaks out against Israel's oppression in Palestine!

Roger Waters, speaking on behalf of the Russell Tribunal, delivers a very nicely put speech in front of delegates on International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
This day also marks an important development in the Palestinians' bid to statehood as they are now recognized as a non-member observer state. Hopefully the world sees both sides of the story and that both conflicting parties go into negotiations towards a two-state peaceful solution and put an end this long and dragged out conflict.

Who is Roger Waters (really?) Here's a bit from Wikipedia to help us know more -

UN roger_waters03

Roger Waters has been in music and entertainment for decades going in and out of the Pink Floyd band. In 2010, he began The Wall Live, a worldwide tour that features a complete performance of The Wall. During this tour, at The 02Arena in London on 12 May 2011, Gilmour and Mason once again appeared with Waters, Gilmour performing "Comfortably Numb", and Gilmour and Mason joining Waters for "Outside the Wall".
Waters' tour topped international concert ticket sales for the first half of 2012, selling more than 1.4 million tickets globally.

Could a man who produced Rock Music make a difference in the way United Nations looks at the evils of oppression taking place in Palestine?

Pink Floyd has been a favorite rock band of many in UK for years. For a memory jog, visit: Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon (1973) [Full Album] (HD 1080p) - YouTube
Roger Waters (English, now living in NY) who wrote the best of Pink Floyd's songs and was its founding member, spoke out to the UN on Palestine: Roger Waters UN Address - Nov 29, 2012 - YouTube
Floyd album sales may contribute proceeds from royalties go to Palestine from Roger, in some measure?

What does this man see in Palestine? What about Islam? Does he know about the world's fastest growing religion?
Or does he have a bad idea from what a few Muslims have done?
Here is our chance!
Let's tell him about real Islam and ask him to accept the Eternal Peace - of surrender to Allah (Islam)

nice to see he's speaking out. in order to to become muslim, he must first want guidance. can't just walk up to someone and say accept islam. i think he should watch the tubeislam videos or visit his local mosque to get some info or talk to other muslims. he can visit islamreligion.c om to read the articles or have a live chat to help answer some questions.__the muslims across the globe are being faced with humiliation

Roger, i have been high impressed with your music for years, my interpretation may have changed some but the memories are fond and of trying to see the world in a better light. Please don't just have solidarity with Palestine politically but religiously too, we would love to see you at the mosque for the next prayer.

Editor: Yes, it is not all about just Haram/Halal - it is also about worship to the Creator and Sustainer of the universe on His terms, His way. Playing and listening to music is against His Way for us.

Ben, good idea. That is what I want to say too.
This man might just become Muslim. So let's focus on dawah first above all, tell him about Allah, the One God and worship Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger and servant.
Everyone who reads this, please join us - leave a message for him (here) and we'll see if he pays attention and accepts Islam, inshallah.

I like this guy's talk but he needs to be a Muslim and i think if he sees real Islam he would jump for the chance to be a Muslim.
