French government has cancelled the famous Arabic TV channel - Rahma TV, according to sources here (USA).

This comes in a series of events of various "Bans" issued by different governments of TV channels and Internet websites - (see articles on our site: Pakistan Bans YouTube, Facebook and Wikipedia; France Bans Rahma TV (below); and now Nile Sat giving into the pressure of governments and cancelling the Rahma TV channel from their satellite)

Less than 2 weeks agon, France's Conseil Superieur de l'Audiovisuel (CSA), the government authority overseeing all public broadcasts in France, announced a ban on Egypt's Rahma TV channel. They have ordered Eutelsat, the satellite carrier for Al-Rahma, to cease provision of services for the channel.

CSA says their decision is based on Al-Rahma's program of Octber 31, last year, featuring anti-semitic content, and incitement to violence (according to them).

The program included a segment where the presenter addressed Jews saying, "Your time has come at last, you offspring of apes and pigs, you most accursed creatures created by Allah. I have a message for every Jew on the face of the earth, "the army of Mohamed will return. O, offspring of apes and pigs - the day of vengence is nearing.."

MEMRI monitors and translates Al Rahma TV channel since it began two years ago, and is the only organization doing so in the world. MEMRI works closely with French authorities in the previous year on issues of incitement on Al Rahma TV.

[reply May 29, 12:59 PM] -This just makes me sick - Our family and friends have always loved to listen to our sheikh Mohamed Hassan presenting Islam in beautiful ways and having Yusuf Estes on Rahma was a big delight for the Arab world. We must do something, inshallah.

ALLAHU AKBAR!!! THIS SHOWS HOW THESE PEOPLE ARE IN FEAR OF THE TRUTH. BUT INSHALLAH NOT ONLY ALRAHMAN TV BUT ALL MUSLIMS SHOULD KNOW OUR DINN AND BE MOUTH PIECE TO TRANSFER THE TRUTH OF ISLAM TO HUMANITY.BY THEN THEY WILL SEE NO DIFFERENCE IN BANNING ALRAHMAN AS ALL MUSLIM IS TAKING OVER ALRAHMAN'S ROLE.BESIDES THEY CAN'T IMAGINE TO BANN US ALL MUSLIMS. SO LETS ALL BE STRONGER IN KNOWLEDGE OF THE DINN!!!INSHALLA H!!!

I live in romania and i returned to islam since 13 years.
I`m so sad because we haven`t here islamic book, Tv chanels...somet imes I fell like a prison.
From when they banned this post remain alhamdulillah just iqra, resala, majd, afasy...but we miss so much sekh Muhammad Hassan, ALLAH plased whith him.
You know if I can see online this channel?

it does not surprise me ,the same people who banned al rahma tv killed,killing. ..zis shows how we muslims are dependent in apes,muslims should do more to reach where zey reach what will happen if zey deny us basic human needs zat we get from zem HI MUSLIMS WAKE UP ,ZIS IZ NOT TIME TO SLEEP.MY FEAR IZ IZIS Z LAST

Muhammad, you should read the Quran more, as you seem to be unaware of how Allah Almighty described the jews in many versus. You should also watch the news more as you seem to be clueless to what is happening to our Muslim brothers and sisters at the hands of the jews and their western instruments.

Dear brothers/sister s__I have not listened to this program that is being described above. If what it is saying is true about the content displayed then we as Muslims should firstly take care with regards to what we say, the tongue is a tool that must be controlled.Seco ndly content such as this that initiates violent and negative behaviour should not be put on TV, it is highly un Islamic to call ppl names. Use intelligence when addressing the non muslims, we should love them and dislike their actions only. Its time that we as Muslims also appoint intelligent ppl to represent us.

what franch government did was that they all contradicted even the emblems of freedom,freedom of speech and tolerance that they pretend to preserve,while attacking our propet peace be upon him,but Insh'Allah rahma will be back and may allah bless all shouyoukhs of rahma from mohamed hassan,abou ishak howainy and hazim shoman.

this just goes to show that all of their democratic mumbojumbo freedom-values only goes for them. We all remember Bush saying Youre eather with us or against us. Well so be it. InshaAllah Ar-Rahma tv will continue because it is among a few others the ONLY pure islamic channel that spreads true and clear islam. We will prevaile...if not in this life then inshaAllah taala in the next. He who laughs last as they say...
