Hearts Turn to Truth
Bombs fell all over Gaza — schools, hospitals, universities, and even the simplest homes — many in the world just looked away. But others - they looked deeper, a lot deeper.
News feeds showed children covered in dust, mothers holding lifeless babies, doctors weeping after surgeries without anesthesia. But behind the destruction, something — even more powerful appeared:
Sabr — patience
Istiqamah — steadfastness
Tawakkul — trust in Allah
A young lady named Sarah, was raised in west with little faith. She found herself crying over an image of a Palestinian girl, holding her Quran in one hand and her dead baby brother in the other. "Why are they still smiling?" she whispered. That night, she typed: Why are Palestinians so strong?
She was looking for reasons on the Internet, and found stories of Muslims and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ She also found verses from the Qur'an, and videos explaining Islam— not a religion of war, but for deep peace with God.
In Brazil, Amina — once Ana — was moved by a Palestinian nurse who wrapped a bandage and said, “This is my jihad.” Amina asked herself: What is this strength? What is this faith?
In South Africa, two sisters began covering their hair after watching a mother in Gaza say, “Even if they take everything, they can’t take our faith in Almight God (Allah).”
And in Germany, a philosophy student watched a Gazan sheikh calmly quoting the Qur'an with bombs falling nearby. “There is truth here,” he told his classmates and he accepted Islam. His own mother—who had mocked religion her whole life—took shahadah before him.
In the Philipines to Iceland, Kenya to Canada — Hearts are Turning.
The more the world tried to silence the voices of Palestine, the louder the message of Islam spread.
And many women — mothers, students, doctors, artists — stepped forward saying:
“We see the truth,
We want IT,
We choose Islam.”
“And they plan, and Allah planned.
And Allah is the best of planners.”
