France is now and always has been, a nation of xenophobic, inflexible haters toward Muslims.
Question: "Could this happen in a church in the Middle East?"
Outcries would be huge!
But, even in a Masjid - France has no problem raiding and attacking while people while they are praying - then drag them out of the mosque and into the streets.
