World wide, people are joining this Way of Life to be Muslims (but this is not our story).
Let's talk about ~ WHAT does the word (Islam) really mean ~ from the Arabic language.
When it comes to roots for words, Arabic has exact meanings for everything.
The word gets it's name from the Arabic root: sein, lam, meem. The same root for, "peace" and "protection".

Islam is from a verb, "aslama' meaning to: surrender, submit, obey, in sincerity and peace - to the ONE GOD of Adam, Noah, Jonah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, John the babtist, Jesus, and, of course, Muhammad ﷺ.
The word "Muslim", gets its name from the exact same root. Muslim means, one who is obeying in submission, sincerely for peace in the way of Islam.
This is the name used in Quran for Muslims to call themselves as followers of "Islam".
The second meaning of "Islam" is a noun from the same root, as it describes the last and final form of the Way of life as perscribed by the Creator for His Creation.
This would make them "Islam-ers" in English, but of course in Arabic the prefix "mu" is added to denote the one preforming the action or verb and instead it becomes "mu"-"islam" or "Muslim."
"Islam" can be understood to be the true religion of God, because it is from Him, according to His commandments without adding to or taking away from the basic precepts.
