Halal Haram ai Art 3D sm 1

Question about artworks

(drawing, pictures, 3D images and using Ai)

Halal Haram ai Art 3D 500

1. General Principle

  • Everything is permissible (halal) unless clear evidence from Quran or Sunnah saying it’s forbidden.

  • Creative tools — animation software, AI generators, or visual effects — are just tools.
Ruling depends on what is produced.

2. Restrictions in Islamic Law

a) Avoid Shirk or False Religious Messages

  • Anything promoting worship of other than Allah, spreading kufr, or mocking religion is haram.

  • Quran:

"And indeed, the devils inspire their allies to dispute with you. And if you obey them, indeed you would be associators [of others with Him]."

b) Avoid Immorality

  • No nudity, sexual content, vulgarity, or encouraging sin.

  • Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Modesty is part of faith.” — Sahih Muslim 36

c) Images of Living Beings

  • Classical scholars prohibited realistic hand-drawn or sculpted depictions of humans/animals due to hadiths about image-making.

  • Many modern scholars say digital or 3D renderings used for education, dawah, games, or harmless entertainment are allowed if not promoting sin and not attempting to rival Allah’s creation.

  • Non-realistic/cartoon style is more widely accepted.

d) Wasting Time & Resources

  • Even permissible art becomes blameworthy if it distracts from obligations (salah, family rights, earning halal income).

3. Possible Rewards

  • If 3D, AI, or visual effects are used to:

    • Teach Islamic knowledge

    • Spread truth

    • Create halal entertainment for children

    • Support dawah projects

Then it can be not just halal, but rewarding in the sight of Allah — because the intention is righteous.

In short:

Halal - if the content is clean, intention is good, and no clear Islamic prohibition is broken.

Haram - if promoting shirk, immorality, or corruptionregardless of how advanced or beautiful the art is.
