Foreign Students to Attend U.S. Schools

Trump Order Barred 500

President Trump Answering Questions

If Trump's Order to bar universities from admiting international students - the schools would suffer in more ways than just students for years (about 1/4 of Harvard's students are foreign).

Students certifications withdrawn by U.S. government are ineligible to reapply for two years afterward, Harvard says.

Harvard is competing for world's #1 students. Order would disadvantage the school and "future applicants might shy away from applying" - Because of suspected fear of more "Orders from the governments leaders".

Graduate schools like Harvard Kennedy School (1/2 of the students are foreign) and Harvard Business School (1/3 foreign) will suffer the most.

The impact for students already there (they would have to leave) and the block on 1,000's of other students who planned to come over to the U.S. for summer and fall classes - would be lost.

Speaking of "LOSSES" - the foreign students always pay more money to be educated in America's leading institutes, like Yale, Harvard, Princeton and MIT.

A lawsuit has been filed against the government's demands. Lawyers are ready for court dates as this moves on. Mean while, lawywers for Harvard say, "This puts the schools at a disadvantage", and the loss is critical, as they compete for the world's best students.
