Syria's Condition Grows Worse

-- Islam Newsroom Exclusive -- Eye Witness Reporter in Syria - Friday, February 24, 2012

Day by day, the fitnah of internal strife and struggle has progressed now to even the most far reaches of the once beautiful and peaceful, Syria.

While it is hard for us to fathom the difficulties and horrors taking place there, from here in America, we now have a direct link to the inside of what is actually taking place.

Some of you have been asking why we have not put anything up until now - (even my own family wants to know). But until we had our own voice confirming what was being said in the mainstream news, there really was no point in offering my opinion about what I was hearing on TV and newspapers.

That silence ended about 30 minutes ago - Now we have the voice of truth coming to us from the last of the regions, until now - unmolested by the violence. But the silence has broken, our brothers are speaking out. But enough of my writings, let's hear directly now from our contacts there in Balad Ash-Shams (Syria).

Here are a few lines written just moments ago - as more comes in, we will keep you posted from Halab (Aleppo), inshallah.

One brother had told us this just last week - From Aleppo - 2nd largest city in Syria with 6,000,000+ people - "Our city in Aleppo (north Syria - close to Turkish boarders) very safe, alhamdulillah. At least for now anyway."

But now this side of Syria is being hit bad.

He tells quite a different story today - Recently, the security situation has been deteriorating here in Aleppo...

". . 2 huge explosions just days ago - 25 people are dead - over 200+ injured. . "

" . . so many young children being kidnapped - demands for huge ransoms . ."

" . . city buses being stopped by men armed with weapons . ."

" . . fear speading like fire among anyone who is moving about or traveling . ."

" . . government workers being killed in cold blood, assasinated - in front of other passengers . . horrible. ."

Another reporter says - " . . foreigners left our country - the foreign embassies - all CLOSED . ."

One report makes it clear - " . . the rich Syrian families buying land in Gulf region - moving out . ."

One family says - "To us it's not clear who is really fighting against who. True, some people are calling to freedom - but there is much more behind this action.

And another report - "This is more than the simple protests you are hearing about - but difficult for us to get the evidence who is behind all of this and what their plans are - May Allah save us, amin"

One man sent an email - "We need Allah to save us from this fitnah (trials, calamities) and keep us from falling into the grey area of this raging battle.."

Another family outside the main fighting area says - "As for me and my family, alhamdulillah, we stay in-doors, and don't go out unless needed. We keep making Du'a Allah saves us from this Fitnah.."

One American family is trapped and scared. They reported, "There's no way for us to leave for the states now - US Embassy closed - We can't get visas for wife or child . . we know it is in the Hands of Allah, but still we are concerned . ."

Last note just came in, as I was preparing this article - He says, "If condition worsens - I will have to take my whole family and leave to neighboring country - I never dreamed one day to run for our lives as refugees to (country name deleted) - My relatives are calling us to come, even though they are not much better off . . "

"May Allah show us truth as truth and enable us to follow it, and show us evil as evil, and enable us to refrain from it, ameen . ."

Obviously, we must pray for our brothers and sisters there. But maybe it is time to look more serious a ways to bring about a peaceful solution to a huge problem.

What about FACEBOOK? TWITTER? Maybe send out mass mailings to politicians and world leaders calling for help, dialog, reinforcements. At least to help find safe locations for the refugees fleeing for their lives, without money or food.

Talk to your local imams, teachers and public servants wherever you live. Ask them to help us look into this situation for proper solutions.

About all, pray.
