Michael Jackson - Entered Islam: According to close friends of relatives

For many years people have been talking about Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, Prince and other famous celebrities coming to Islam.

But is any of this true?

Michael Jackson and Prince were both from the Jehovah’s Witness background.

Now at last there is official proof - YES! Michael Jackson did convert Islam at a ceremony in Los Angeles, California back in Novemeber of 2008.

Al Arabiya TV and sources close to the family revealed the occassion was attended only be very close friends.

It is also reported that Yusuf Islam (former Cat Stevens) was there for the event as well.

Yusuf Islam also came to Islam in California back in the 1970's.

Cat Stevens left the music world to become a true Muslim and changed his name to Yusuf Islam. He helped many people to see the light of Islam in the darkness of today's world.

Yusuf and other famous celebrities in show buisness and sports world enter Islam without hardly any media attention at all, unless it is to insult Islam and the Muslims.

Michael was encouraged to convert to Islam by his friends, Canadian songwriter David Wharnsby and producer Phillilp Bubal. His brother Jermaine, who has been a Muslim for some time, finally spoke out about Michael's interest in Islam for years.

Jackson changed his name to Mikaeel and took shahada — (declaration of belief) — to confirm his conversion to Islam, according to Al-Arabiya TV.

The ceremony took place at the Hollywood Hills home of Toto keyboardist Steve Porcaro, who composed music for Jackson’s iconic Thriller album.
