Peace Conference Cancelled
IN HIS OWN COUNTY?
Mumbai, India - December 11, 2012 - "English" Peace Conference for December: CANCELLED! By India Government (with only one week remaining until event)
- Many people are wondering what is going on with some governments today. Especially in view of the position all of them seem to take against terrorism and security issues.
- Dr. Zakir Naik has long been an outspoken person against the acts of revenge and terror going on in the Muslim world. Obviously putting his own life and family on the line, in his hard stance against those who use religion as a cover for their most criminal acts. He has even said clearly, "Every Muslim should be a 'terrorist to the terrorists'".
- Yet, it is this very statement (taken out of context and cut up) that has become the "issue" some politicians hide behind when it comes to allowing the real message of the peace of Islam to be brought out.
The following letter was sent out to the English speakers, perviously invited to attend a well-known and established conference for the advancement of peace in India and around the world.

For what? (as if you didn't know) - Let's see what we hear directly from Dr. Zakir Naik and then you comment below (please)
Dear Shaikh (speaker),
As-Salaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
I pray to Allah (swt) for your health, happiness and vigor in Islamic
spirits. Aameen.
We are extremely sad and sorry to inform you that inspite of our unmitigated
efforts and relentless urging this year. the Ministry of Home Affairs
(Foreigners Division), Govt. of India, has refused to give the required 'No
Objection' (Security Clearance) for any foreign speaker (emphiss added) to address our peace
conference.
Without this 'mandatory clearance' the Indian Ministry of
External Affairs / Embassies / Consulates cannot issue the required
'Conference Visas' for any of our invited Guest Speakers.
Alhamdulillah we have received all the permissions required to hold the
conference in Mumbai, except for the Conference Visas clearance for any
foreign speaker, even though all the four previous conferences were peaceful
and law abiding. (emphasis added)
This 'unexpected' situation is indeed 'unfortunate'. But Alhamdulillah, the
government and authorities have allowed us to conduct the conference with
only Indian Speakers 'Allahu Aalam' His Hikmah...
Since most of the conference arrangements (including publicity) are in the
final stages, and though disheartened by the foreign speakers not coming. as
a last resort we have decided to prepone the 'Urdu Peace Conference' which
was supposed to be held in 2012 to new dates (visit Dr. Zakir's Website for current status): www.irf.org
However, there are possibilities of holding the English Peace Conference in
the near future after we are able to convince the Ministry of Home Affairs,
Govt. of India, for granting permission for foreign speakers to address the
same.
We humbly apologize for the inconvenience and loss caused to your good self
by the cancellation of the English Peace Conference at the last moment.
However, we earnestly hope you will take it in the right spirit as well as
be kind enough to spare the same or more number of days in future whenever
the event does, InshaAllah, take place.
May Allah (swt) shower His Choicest Blessings on the entire Muslim Ummah and
help us, inspite to some odds, in our mission of bearing witness to the
truth of Islam before all mankind. Aameen !
