June 8, 2010 -- A "Killer-Deal" is anticipated for the sale of "Xe" (formerly known as Blackwater USA), by owner-founder Erik Prince, who said yesterday, he wants to sell his billion dollar "money for mercenary" operation because, as he says "Performance doesn’t matter in Washington, just politics.."
He should know, after all, Prince, a former Navy SEAL, was a heavy contributor to the Presidential campaign of George W. Bush. The administration repaid the favor by awarding the company exclusive “no bid” contracts to guard State Department personnel in Iraq.
This meant Prince made hundreds of millions of dollars, without fear of competition, doing we he loved best - "Mercenary Money".
His company, Blackwater USA, now known as Xe Services, provided security guards and other mercenary services to the U.S. government in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hot spots in the world. The massacre of Iraqi civilians in 2007 led to federal charges against the hired guns. A judge later threw out the charges, saying prosecutors mishandled evidence.
Prince and others are under federal investigation for purported threats against whistle blowers in the operation. The company’s controversial behavior led Senate Armed Services Chairman Carl Leven to urge the Pentagon to ban Xe from a $1 billion deal to train Afghan police.

WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors charged the former president of Blackwater Worldwide and four other former senior company officials on Friday with weapons violations and making false statements in the first criminal inquiry to reach into the top management ranks of the private security company.
The executives were some of the closest advisers to Blackwater’s founder, Erik Prince, and helped him steer the company during its swift rise to become the leading contractor providing security for American diplomats in Iraq and Afghanistan, working for the State Department, the CIA and the Pentagon.
They were also the senior executives in charge during the company’s most turbulent period, after its security guards were involved in a series of shootings, including one in Baghdad in 2007 that left 17 Iraqi civilians dead.
Prince, who was not charged, wants to sell his billion dollar operation to the next "Kill-For-Bucks" gunslinger who has enough cash.
