Yusuf Estes Silenced - But Not For Long!
Sheik Yusuf Estes lost his voice while shooting a children's TV series, "Stories of the Prophets" during his visit to India. Sheik Yusuf recovered his voice after two days, then went on to complete a 52 week series. And just to prove he still had something left in him, he did another 26 episodes for Peace TV and called them "Facets of Islam."
The director of the programs, Ezhar Faridi, said he was amazed at the comeback and stamina of the 63 year old sheik. "He just keeps on going, and going." After the programs were finished they continued shooting promos and ads for "Peace Missile", "Facets of Islam" and other shows.

Sheik Yusuf Estes filming on "Prophets of Allah" was interrupted last week when it was announced he has totally lost his voice and cannot speak above a whisper. All that has passed and he has completed the entire series, thanks to Allah. Doctors in Bombay worked hard to help Sheik Yusuf get back on track in time to finish the programs before the June 24 deadline.
The series of 52 delightful television programs directed toward all children around the world is one of the largest of its type ever produced in the English language. The enterprise features the unique entertaining, emotional and educational presentation narrated by Sheik Yusuf Estes.
The unique background set was designed for Estes by former Bollywood director Azhar Faridi and the project is being shot on location in Mumbai India by Peace TV's own camera crew using up to 7 camera angles at a time. Estes is depicted in the unique setting while presenting highly charged and emotional presentations of the prophet's lives to a number of children from various backgrounds. The release date of the series is not as yet being disclosed to the public, but should be within the next few months according to one source who asked not to be mentioned.
Many parents and youth alike who have been waiting for Sheik Yusuf to come out with such an entertaining and educational program will have to wait now, as the while project has now been put on hold until further notice.

Estes was under a specialist's care in Mumbai and commented on the excellent treatment of all those involved. They are all asking Muslims everywhere to offer prayers for these wonderful men and for their families as well.
