Quran [33:36] Question[s]: hope u r fine. there is a question i wanna ask. some people say that a woman should wear a cetain amount of bangles because she will be asked abt it on ressuraction day, is it right or wrong secondly i am 25, i was married 2 yrs before.my husband lived for 6 days with me then he went back to U.K , now i am trying to take divorce (khulah) ,in case of a working woman if it is not possibel for her to stay at home after 3 months of her divorce cos she may lost her job coz i started a month before. what must she do? Answer[s]: Thank you for your questions. May Allah guide you to all that is best for you and keep you strong in Islam, ameen. We are sorry to hear that things did not work out for your marriage. Is there any possibility that things could change and that your husband might return and rekindle the marriage? This would of course be the nice solution to the problem. If you find that there is no solution and that he will not return, you might contact your local imam for assistance in contacting your husband and trying to work things through the Islamic court system, inshallah. As regards wearing any "bangles" we are not aware of any hadeeth mentioning this. Even if there were it would be immediately be considered a problem due to the clear ayah in the Quran that forbids women to wear such things in public or anything that would attract attention toward her body in any form. Please read the Quran: Surah 24:31 and Surah 33:59 along with the applicable explanations (tafseer). Staying at home naturally assumes that someone is providing for the woman as is prescribed in the Quran. Read Surah 4:34. Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allâh has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allâh and to their husbands), and guard in the husband's absence what Allâh orders them to guard (e.g., their chastity, their husband's property, etc.). As to those women on whose part you see bad conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful), but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allâh is Ever Most High, Most Great. If there are no men to care for the women, then it immediately becomes their duty to do their best to protect themselves and provide for themselves, inshallah. There is no sin on what we cannot avoid or are incapable of dealing with, inshallah. Allah has All Knowledge. Any good is from Allah & the mistakes were from myself. Please pray for me and ask Allah to Forgive me. May Allah guide all of us to His Truth, ameen.Salam alaykum - Yusuf Estes National Muslim Chaplain Now - LIVE Broadcasts Questions & Answers With Scholars [www.IslamTomorrow.com] For other opinions: http://www.islamonline.net or http://www.islam-qa.com Thank you again for good questions.
