Answer:

Allah has many characterists we often call the "Ninetynine Names of Allah." These include:
"The All-Loving (Al Wadud); The Most-Kind; The Most-Just; The Most-Forgiving; The Most Merciful; The Most Compassionate; The All-Patient; The One Who Guides."
From these most excellent qualities we immediately understand, we as Muslims, should exhibit more of these attributes in our own behavior, as did the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Hatred for the sake of hating is very dangerous and will ultimately destroy the one doing it. Don't do it.

Consider what happened to rasoolullah (Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah), peace be upon him, when he made the journey to At-Taif, a city in the Mekkah area of Arabia. He was not recevied by the leaders there (against their normal custom of receiving all visitors for three days and nights, without so much as asking them a single question). They even turned the urchins of the street against him and his companion, throwing rocks and stones at them. The blood of our prophet, peace be upon him, filled his sandals. Now, consider what happened next. The Arch-Angel (Ruh Qadus or Holy Spirit), Gabriel came to him and told him, Allah had angels in place who would bring the mountaions of At-Taif crumbling down on them. All he had to do was say the word, and Allah would give the command and these folks would all be destroyed. Did he do it? What would you do in similar cricumstances? Muhammad, peace be upon, raised his hands and made dua (supplication) FOR them, not AGAINST them. He prayed and asked Allah to guide them to the truth and hoped for someone of them to worship Allah, Alone without any partners. And after all, that is what ISLAM is all about anyway, isn't it?

Our beloved prophet, peace be upon him, did not curse anyone except in extreme cases for specific purposes. Scholars throughtout the world have all told me essentially the same thing, we should never engage in cursing people, except in the extreme conditions and for similar purposes as did our role model, rasoolullah, sallalahu alayhi wassallam.

Consider what would happen if they would someday come to Islam (like I did). Wouldn't it be better to pray FOR people, instead of praying AGAINST them? Ask Allah to guide the people and keep your heart clean and pure.Use your time to live up to the name "Muslim" (this means 'one who submits to God's Commandments in peace' [see: ISLAM]) and don't waste precious time cursing people.

Ask Allah to forgive you and all the Muslims - use your time for this type of dua.

Please pray for us to get this important message out to the people before it is too late. We need to all work together collectively to let everyone know about "Laa elaha ill lah".
