Things have really been exciting here, Al Hamdulilah. Can you imagine what it is like to be out on the desert and watch the sunset? Complete with a bedoin tent, live camels and drinking camel milk? The stars are huge and the air is pure. This experience alone, was a beautiful part of our family Hajj. |

We have almost completed the rituals of the Hajj. All that remains now is the last stoning of the jammerat. This will be taking place within the next few hours inshallah.
The time here in Mekkah is about 2:30 in the morning. When most of the folks in this time zone would be expected to be sleeping and enjoying a good night's rest, there are hundreds of thousands of people walking in the desert with the sole ambition of throwing 7 pebbles at a concrete pillar. Sound strange? Maybe.

Take a look at this letter written by Abu Aisha, concerning the "mistranslation" of Reliance of the Traveler (Nu Ha Meem Keller). I found it interesting to say the least. I have requested the brother to provide us with any information that he might have on Mr. Keller aquaintences, Hamza Yusuf, Zaid Shakir, Mohamed Yaqubi and their fearless leader, Mr. Abdul Qadir As-sufi Al-Murabit.
